Watersports & Marinas

If you’re after an adrenalin packed day, and want to feel the rush of warm wind in your hair, hire a jet ski or powerboat. If you’re feeling more energetic, find your skipper and grab hold of a trailed line on your wakeboard or surf the rolling white wakes on skis. The exhilarating feeling of cutting the calm waters at speed with the serenity of the panoramic rocks as a backdrop is an awesome experience.

There is also a wide range of incredible boats and yachts to suit all party sizes, from couples, to families and large groups. Wahweap Marina is the largest on the southwestern point on Lake Powell. Antelope Marina is another great launching spot. Others to choose from including Bullfrog, Dangling Rope and Halls Crossing Marinas.

Canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding

Feel at one with the calm peaceful waters and reflections of the age-old escarpments and imagine how it was in the past. The majestic lands of indigenous hunter-gatherers in their canoes can be experienced by you.

There are kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for hire and they offer a real adventure to get close to the mesmerising scenery and natural wildlife of Lake Powell. If you fancy being a little more daring, try a paddleboard. These perform brilliantly and glide effortlessly over the water. Once you’ve had enough of standing up, they even come with attachable seats so they can be used just like a kayak.
